Not Just for Nerds follows a young ballerina named Josephine who struggles with asthma. Throughout her life, she has never been able to fully do what she loves without fear holding her back. Her asthma not only affects her ability to dance, but also makes her the target of hurtful stereotypes because of her inhaler and glasses. “Nerd.” That’s all anyone seems to see when they look at her. But as her big showcase approaches, Josephine must decide whether she will let fear and judgment define her or find the strength to overcome her struggles and dance anyway. Read more
